William Hill Sportsbook Free Bet Bonus

The late Mr Hill (along with contemporaries such as Ladbroke’s Cyril Stein and Joe Coral) was one of the leading forces in making bookmaking what it has become. He was also a man who reputedly wouldn’t allow people to wear green in the trading room, it being a colour he deemed to be unlucky!

I really like the functionality of William Hill’s Sportsbook, every action that I participated in (with the notable exception of live-chat) is completed on the same page, and is clear and straightforward.

Live Chat Support

Registration to the site is frictionless and takes very little time. Should problems be encountered live-chat is on hand to help. For the purposes of this review I registered a brand new account on the Sunday lunchtime that happened to be the FA Cup Semi Final day. When I accessed live-chat there were 43 people in front of me in the cue. The wait took 26 minutes. This delay was no doubt exacerbated by it being the day that the two big Manchester clubs were playing at Wembley.

When I tried customer support by phone the service was almost instantaneous. However non-UK residents would probably prefer live-chat as the primary quick support, and William Hill could do better with this. When I spoke with their customer service team I found them efficient and for International languages a wide variety of nationalities are catered for by email support.

Anyhow, thankfully we didn’t specifically need to utilize the assistance of live-chat as depositing was so straightforward that I foresee no complications for any user who has the most basic degree of eCommerce experience. The variety of payment options was myriad, and included all the major cards as well as Ukash, Paysafecard, Paypal, and a legion of other ePayment providers. Certainly at the end of a profitable punting day I withdrew my winnings without any problems!

The betslip is easy to navigate and swift in processing, meaning that a crucial price can be grabbed before it shrinks away! Aesthetically the site looks superb and avoids the mistakes of having massive pictures of sports scenes in favour of a proper shop window displaying the upcoming markets in an easy to follow format. The site eschews the traditional left had side sports listing and instead has them shown in a horizontal top listing.

The range of sports offered by Will Hill is broad, though perhaps not as diverse as Sportingbet or Bet365, but they are really pushing the boundaries with soccer.

William Hill are stepping into the in-play soccer ring big-style, and at the time of this review they offer a whopping 138 markets for major UK Premiership games, and even 44 for lower profile European football matches. In terms of value William Hill are very competitive and typically bet to overall 1X2 margins of 107% for live games, and 109% for generic pre game match odds. I was a bit like a kid in the sweet shop when writing this review, and got involved in all sorts of exotic bets!

The Sportsbook has live streaming for horse racing and also provide rich You-Tube content featuring pundits previewing chosen events. I am a big fan of the fun content, notably Robbie Savage giving his Saturday acca tips whilst riding the “Savage” roller coaster at Blackpool Pleasure beach, check it out on You-Tube!

Sportsbook Guardian’s aim is to provide honest reviews and only promote bookies that we ourselves would bet with. William Hill is one such site that I personally bet with, they are safe, respected and offer a good solid product. This old bookmaking powerhouse is becoming an online force also.

If you want to try out William Hill Sportsbook Guardian has a free £25 bet for all new depositing registrants so whizz through to check out the action!

  • Openbet to provide William Hill with Promote software

January 31, 2013Pilar Gisbert TweetOpenBet are the market leader in delivering software for the betting and online gaming industry, and have signed a new contract with the bookmaker William Hill. This licence allows William Hill to offer betting promotions that can be tailored directly to all the different shops across it retail domain. OpenBet provides its products and its technological betting platform to bookmakers and also other firms. It is characterized by offering a unique service experience and quality live images. This service allows each company to personalise each of their promotional content for each store as desired. The retail director of William Hill announced: “We have to keep adapting and innovating to meet changing customer demands.” “Openbet Promote gives us the opportunity to keep making the offer more interesting for customers by targeting promotions and content more effectively and tailoring offers at a local level.” Also the CEO of OpenBet said: “We have designed Promote to give our customers a platform from which they can greatly improve the range of products and the level of service they provide,” he described. “The high street bookmaker is no longer seen as just a betting shop but a destination that offers a wider range of entertainment. Operators need the tools available to them to deliver that experience and that is what Promote does.” As James Henderson said, they have to continue updating and modernising their products to satisfy their customers and give them a different value from other competitors. It will definitely be interesting to see how this innovation changes the market. TweetAverage Rating: Write your own review. • William Hill launched a sports betting app in Nevada

August 29, 2012Pilar Gisbert Tweet The Bookmaker William Hill a few weeks ago launched its new sports betting app in Nevada. Step by step the app was growing in popularity, now the population of Nevada can participate too. This means that the customers can play or bet via iPhones, iPads, Blackberry devices and Android smart phones and tablets. This new app means that gamblers can participate in plenty of events, races, competitions at any time of the day. You can download the app for free after opening a William Hill sportsbook account. To start with the betting apps were designed by Leroy’s Horse and Sports Place Inc, but in 2011 William Hill acquired the owner of the company, American Wagering Inc, paying $18 million. Leroy’s was the first US gaming firm with a free sports betting app on the apple store. The only requirement before you start betting is first, open an account with a minimum deposit of £5. It is a new step for William Hill in the gambling world and a new value and facility to all the customers, giving them the opportunity to play anywhere just using a mobile device. • William Hill win BetView Award.

May 10, 2012Chris Denny TweetLast Wednesday the annual Betview awards took place, I think in the Grosvenor Hotel in London. I didn’t go, as don’t tend to be able to justify getting to these award bashes. Plus I don’t have the obligatory black tie. I get Betviews magazine sent to me each month and always enjoy the mag, even though it’s largest focus is aimed towards the retail betting sector. The awards were granted for a lot of retail winners, but the key online one, that of “Best in Class” was given to William Hill, who along with a booming share price seem to be on a high at present. The Betting Shop Manager of the year award went to a lady from Jennings Bet. Ralph Topping, CEO for William Hill, commented: “We are absolutely thrilled to be honoured at the industry awards. There has been a cumulative effort across all of our channels to make us the best in the industry and bring an excellent betting product to our customers. Our results speak for themselves and this is now reflected in the recognition we have received from our peers.” TweetAverage Rating: Write your own review. • William Hill Share Revolt Update

May 10, 2012Chris Denny TweetFor a 50/50 event bookmakers William Hill would traditionally be expected to offer odds of “5/6 each of two”. The odds compilers at William Hill would almost certainly have not predicted that the vote on whether Ralph Topping got a £1.2million bonus for staying in his job would be as close as it turned out. The result? Ralph has got his bonus, but only just. Of proxy votes 49.9% were against the rise, and after a show of hands vote it was narrowly decided that the motion was passed. There were some heated questions from the shareholders with Group Chairman Gareth Davis having to staunchly defend the remuneration. As a punter it’s not all bad, one of the reasons that we all like to bet with William Hill is that they always pay out!       TweetAverage Rating: Write your own review. • Ralph Topping Facing Share Holder Pay Review!

May 8, 2012Chris Denny TweetThe stock market chatter is twittering around the subject of an “Investor Spring”, it’s play on the “Arab-Spring” and journo’s are bolting it onto everything in the same fashion that “Watergate” gets used for “Krispy-Kreme-Donut-Gate”, “Straight-Bannana-Gate”, “Simon-Cowell-Gate”, garden-gate and so on ad nauseum. Basically we are all seeing our pensions turn out to be worth very little, and the Stock Market is languishing in an L-Shaped recession. Some stockholders in this climate aren’t over the moon with the CEO’s and Board members taking fortunes out of the company when the share price isn’t doing to well. I witnessed this at the Betfair AGM, with one shareholder vocally challenging the merits of some of the boards packages in the context of the betting exchange’s floundering price. Outside of the dozen or so gambling stocks the biggest casualty of this rebellion has been Sky Bailey, the long standing head of Trinity Mirror who has stood down. The newspaper groups share price has gone down over the past decade whilst her package has always gone up. RBS have also felt equity holders ire. The William Hill AGM vote will be on whether Ralph Topping gets £1.2 million to stay in his job until 2013. As of this moment Ralph Topping’s Blog hasn’t commented on the issue. I have scoured Will Hill’s normally excellent specials selection to see if the firm are betting on whether their boss gets his big win. Sadly no prices are available. I may facebook message Paddy Power to see if the Irish boys will price the market up for a giggle. I reckon it’s 4/6 Ralph doesn’t get his dough, 11/10 he gets his raise!   TweetAverage Rating: Write your own review. William Hill- Professional Functional

Jan 31, 2012 by Billy Big Better

These are the two words I have used when describing my experience of William Hill.

Everything looks professional and very simple to use. I do not have any issues in placing any of my bets.

I have found however that the prices are not always the best. But, they seem to be a lot better than Bet 365 and rarely are they the worst price.

I am lazy and wont have an account with everyone so Bill Hill offers me the best in terms of simple and effective. They offer me enough markets on the not so popular sports, which is where I place my bets.

I do like their live betting as its very easy to use.

Taking money in and out has always been easy. I have not encountered anyb problems. Recommend it often.

Similar but simple

Jan 06, 2012 by MoortownBee

I'm an occasional gambler and it's good to be able to navigate around and place a bet with minimal confusion as the football odds were on the front page.

Not much to choose between William Hills and other online betting ones IMO- they are all pretty the same on my high street and not much difference online. Had trouble making a payment into the funds, but the customer service sorted it quickly. I use for football multiples.
