The Unibet site is green, much like a friendly incredible hulk, it is also easy to navigate around and you’ll find it simple to deposit £20 and claim your initial sign up bonus. The main sports betting site for Unibet is slick, nicely presented and easy to navigate.
Sports a-plenty are listed down the left hand side of the page and you’ll be able to have a bet on anything from 7090 football betting markets, to 21 winter sports markets, 107 volleyball markets and 8 martial arts markets, if you are that way inclined as a punter. The live betting offering for Unibet is listed at the top of the home page, I’ll come on to that little treat later on though. The bottom line is, when you join Unibet you’ll have a plethora of sports to bet on.
Account information is clearly displayed on the right hand side of the page, including all of your standard betting information such as: bet slip, pending bets, settled bets. Your next available live betting events are listed to the left of the screen, so if you want to get involved with some in play betting shenanigans immediately, just check out which market you fancy betting on and your next match will be clearly displayed underneath. Navigating between the various sports is simple, with volleyball betting markets, basketball betting markets, handball and football betting markets available at the click of a button.
Interestingly, Unibet offer an “info centre”, for all queries relating to your account and payments in and out of the site. If you ever get stuck, like Berbatov was at Spurs a couple of years ago (poor him), you can drop the support team at Unibet a mail, call, or utilise their live chat function. This is particularly important when you enquire about your sign up bonus!
The info centre is a great feature and Unibet customers have betting market information and support available at all times. You can even check out Unibet’s live streamed sports schedule and information on their betting terms.
Let’s look at Unibet’s live betting product. When clicking through onto the live betting option I was taken through to a seperate web page that details all of the days live betting sports events. There really is something for everyone here, even us miserable chaps from Sportsbook Guardian. I was able to choose from continental sports such as watersports and volleyball, through to my own favourite – live betting on football.
I felt that one of the best aspects of Uniebet’s live betting product is good ol’ fashioned simplicity. You know there’ll be no messing about when you join Unibet. When clicking through to a football betting market, I was given a clean and user friendly score card, coupled with a number of core markets to bet on: Match Odds, 2nd Half Winner, Total Goals, Next Goal and Correct Score are all included.
In this instance, I placed a naughty little bet on Energy Cottbus II @ 1.6 in match odds. You’ll find the system really is easy to use, even for a monkey or lesser animal (er..a goat), if lacking in some of the intricacies and market volume of Bet365 and Sportingbet. A nice feature is the P & L count underneath the odds in the market tab. Straight forward live betting at Unibet, that’s how I like it!
Mobile betting is also available on the Unibet site and is simple to use, if a little crude, on the iPhone. Other cool features for Unibet include their pool betting products of Superscore and Supertoto. Superscore involves the prediction of correct scores on football matches and Supertoto sees punters predict the outcome of 14 matches. If you like the idea of pool betting, then get involved.
I found Unibet to be a good site that is user friendly and trustworthy, holding a significant amount of sports and markets to bet on. Perhaps Unibet is aimed more towards casual sports bettors than some of its rival sites, however this should not put you off, as the general site & live betting offering is robust and easy to use. If you also like to dip your toe into more niche sports and European based markets such as volleyball and handball, then Unibet really is the place to be.
A thumbs up from the Sportsbook Guardian team, Unibet boast a good product with strong customer support and a diverse amount of betting markets. So don’t miss out on this great sign up bonus from Unibet, open an account today and get punting!

Unibet Share Price Soaring High
May 10, 2012Chris Denny TweetIn a time when the European markets are reeling in the wake of the French elections, and further bad news from Greece have also soured a lot of prices. However as previously blogged about the iGaming industry seems to be enjoying a real rally, with shares from William Hill and Ladbrokes doing well. The headline surge this week has been Unibet who have rocketed up to 198p, which is a three year high for the stock. The financial figures read as follows: “Unibet delivered another all-time high in Gross Winnings powered by its market-leading sportsbook, Kambi Sports Solutions,” Unibet chief executive Henrik Tjarnstrom said, adding that more than 15% of the gross winnings revenue in the quarter came from re-regulated markets. -April revenues continued the positive development from the first quarter and recorded strong organic growth compared to the prior year, the company said. -Gross winnings revenue in the first quarter rose 36% to GBP51.12 million from GBP37.50 million in the same period last year. -Operating profit in the first quarter rose to GBP11.65 million from GBP11.17 million in the same period last year. -Net profit in the first quarter rose to GBP10.76 million from GBP10.02 million in the same period last year. April 24, 2012Pilar Gisbert TweetUnibet Group, which was founded in 1997 and is listed on NASDAQ OMX Nordic Exchange in Stockholm acquired Nordic Betting Ltd (trading as Bet24), belonging to Modem Times Group. This acquisition is being acquired for €13.5m (£11.25m). Unibet provides services in 27 languages in more than 100 countries and it has more than six million customers. Bet24 is operating across Northern Europe with different websites as www.bet24.dk or www.bet24.com, which offered sports betting and gaming products. This is not the first Unibet purchase, some months ago in November it acquired EurosportBet France from Solfive. According to Maltese law and regulations applicable to the transfer of businesses, Unibet will relocate nearly 45 employees from Bet24 to its own base in Malta. This strategy is based to create organic growth in the Nordics and benefit from the economies of scale. Unibet will rebrand the business from Bet24 to Unibet and move customers to its own platform. The transaction is subject to regulatory clearance and is expected to be completed before the end of June. TweetAverage Rating: Write your own review. April 12, 2012Chris Denny TweetBet24 has been snapped by Scandinavian betting powerhouse Unibet for the sum of £11.25million. The sale has been reported as a cash purchase, though this means that it was bought for a straight sum, not to be confused with several suitcases full of used notes. On a human level early reports indicate that all 45 of the Maltese based employees of Bet24 will be integrated into the Gzira office of Unibet. The purchase further strengthens Unibet, both adding useful revenue but also increased leverage in the Danish market. Unibet Bet24 deal to be finished in the Summer As with all these things there are a fair amount of regulatory issues to sort, with all the t’s to be dotted and i’s to be crossed (or is it the other way around?) the whole process should be finished mid summer.
