As well as the generous sign up bonus for Sportsbook Guardian users, they frequently offer preferential special offers, such as free refunds of losing bets if a named player scores the last goal.

Another leading feature that Sportingbet offer is that they show live stream video of a variety of sporting events, notably tennis, football, and basketball. If you want a quick wager in your lunch hour their site is very easy to navigate and displays all the current major in-play markets on the home page.

Their football variety is only matched by Bet365, and far eclipses the majority of run of the mill sportsbooks. At the time of viewing they were offering in-play betting on matches between Tampere Utd vs JJK Jyvaskyla and USA Women vs Iceland Women, half of the matches see the football fans at Sportsbook Guardian scratching our heads as to the locations!

For the obscure football betting markets Sportingbet bet to a fair over-round percentage of 111% as standard, but the value in terms of over-round gets better for punters the higher profile the event. Even for the afore mentioned specialist football games, there will be upwards of thirty supporting markets in-play, including on things like “next throw in” and result in 15 minute chunks.

For the bigger games between recognisable teams I was like a child in the sweet shop and absolutely spoilt for choice! A Premiership match will see upwards of 50 markets available. Though I don’t want to lead anyone to believe that Sportingbet is all focused on soccer, their range of markets encompasses everything from European basketball, handball, waterpolo and bandy!

Sportingbet also has a poker product called Paradise Poker, however in my view there are stronger poker rooms listed on Poker Guardian that have a better volume of players. On Sportingbet it’s best to stick with their sports betting product that is in my opinion pretty much top of the tree in terms of market depth and variety.

Their customer service is efficient and offers a full variety of communication methods. When I tested it I received a live chat response within thirty seconds, and felt assured that they were capable in assisting. Their customer service team are in action 24/7, as are a lot of their odds compilers!

In short if you have an opinion on anything sporting, Sportingbet will be able to offer you a wager, is your heart pacing faster? I know mine is! Don’t take my word for it though, set up an account now, get some ammo with this massive sign up bonus direct from Sportsbook Guardian and go nuts!

  • Sportingbet continues reaching all its expectations

August 15, 2012Pilar Gisbert Tweet Sportingbet, one of the UK bookmaker giants with a presence in 26 countries and over 700,000 active players all over the world announced that, all the trends seen during the first nine months continued in its fourth quarter which finished at the end of July. The bookie who verified the difficulties that they are having in Europe because of the recession, predicted that they will reach all their expectations. How is it possible? The group have a strong market in Australia who is counteracting the Europe weakness. As Sportingbet said: “The integration of Sportingbet Australia with the recently acquired Centrebet was successfully completed during June, one month ahead of schedule.” Their Australian business reported a NGR (before tax and bonus) up 93% year on year. This market is the one that is helping the group reach all their expectation, the European market is going through a difficult economic period that is affecting the business negatively, as well as some taxation and law aspects. All of this could be noticed in the Spanish market, as the group announced: “Our largest European market, Spain, was closed for the first 35 days of the quarter until the licensed market launched on June 5″. “As a result, European NGR declined by 41 year on year (like on like down 18%)”. Hopefully all their expectations will be reached, and the group can achieve all the objectives set at the beginning of the year. TweetAverage Rating: Write your own review. • Sportingbet launch cost saving drive with Centrebet

May 4, 2012Chris Denny TweetLast year Sportingbet acquired Australian sports betting site Centrebet for a takeover sum of $183million. Over the past few months Sportingbet have been implementing cost savings by migrating functionality and operations to reduce any post take over overlap. This has seen the Centrebet call centre in Alice Springs moved to Sportingbet’s Darwin operation. As is typical in the iGaming arena there have been some issues with various jurisdictions, in particular Cenrtrebet found that cyber squatters have been dossing on the Centrebet.gr domains. Sportingbet gradually seem to be smoothing through the integration very well and on the technical front a joint IT hosting process will be completed by June 2012. • Sportingbet settle with US DOJ

March 25, 2012Chris Denny TweetA cash strapped US Economy has been boosted to the sum of $33million as the Department of Justice has agree to a settlement relating to US trade that Sportingbet accepted between 1998 and 2006. Sportingbet CEO Andrew McIver reported: “This final payment formally closes any risk which the company may have faced from its former activities in the U.S.”. Whether the US does allow the company to once again re-enter the lucrative market remains to be seen, as many industry commentators staunchly believe that the US will take a protectionist approach to online gaming. Recently Sportingbet shares have performed in a lacklustre manner, but the larger context also includes big changes to their European markets.   TweetAverage Rating: Write your own review. • Sportingbet’s £7.2 million loss, yet revenues continue to grow

March 1, 2012Chris Denny TweetSportingbet Shares fall 12% in week Sportingbet’s shares have dipped to 37p from 43p on the back of the announcement of a £7.2 million pre tax loss, which compares harshly with the last years profits of £19.6 million. The fall of 12% on the stock market was to be expected amidst the subdued results, but it is interesting to note that of the analysts polled on the Selftrade broker site, seven were recommending the stock as a buy, one as a hold, with only a solitary analyst advising disposing of the stock. Sportingbet Revenues up 2% as regulated turnover rises Things are generally quite sanguine however, and revenues are actually up to £109.4m. The betting giant has discarded it’s Turkish language site which was one of the reasons for the prospective Ladbrokes take over being shelved. Sportingbet have a strong sportsbook product, and are confident in returning to profits in the medium term. With close to 50% of their revenues now coming from regulated territories the chance of them attracting a purchasing suitor is also more likely, and I for one wouldn’t bet against renewed attention from a Rayners Lane based romancer nicknamed the “Magic Sign”*. Group Chief Executive Andrew McIver forecast: “I think we can safely say that the Euro 2012 underpins our second-half forecast, rather than being additional to it,”. “I reckon we’ll take more on any match in Euro 2012 championships than the whole of the Olympics.” As the Chinese say: “may we live in interesting times“! *Ladbrokes! confusing bets screen

May 09, 2012 by sanibak

I like to bet on the horses and do use Sportingbet often, as they often tend to go stand out about some runners, I think they can take a bit more of a risk as they don't offer best price guarantee like Bet365/WillHill/VictorChandler/Ladbrokes so they have a little less of a risk to expose themselves to. What I find annoying is that the site is a bit old school, for example the prices arent listed in betting order, and it would be nice if they had the colours by the runners also so that when watching internet streaming it can be referenced. They really need to sort the Open bets display out, to find out my open bets I have to go via the account statement and even then it struggles to communicate accumulator details clearly as it doesn't state whether acca are each way or not.
