Betclic is a leading European bookmaker with a range of betting markets as diverse as their staff nationalities!
Until a year ago they were known as Betclick, we don’t know where the “k” has gone, but the rebrand is more chic! If you don’t know the brand they are the top firm in the French and other European markets. In terms of sponsorship they have a big spend on F1, and the Betclic banners are spotted all over the Monaco GP.
They are part of the Mangas Group, which after BwinParty is the largest iGaming group in the European market. You can bet with them in the total confidence that you are betting with a gilt edged bookmaker.

Getting started is a simple one page affair, and I was welcomed by brand ambassador Marcel Desailly! Eager to get into the betting action I neglected to fill in one of the boxes and intuitively a pop up helpfully prompted me with the specific data that I’d missed.
Like a lot of modern bookmakers they are focused on the choice of a secure password, and I was invited to make sure that mine had a mixture of upper and lowercase letters as well as a numeral to eliminate the possibility of someone hacking into your account. This may annoy some punters who for convenience sake use the same password for all their betting sites (not advised for security).
Processing a deposit is a simple and intuitive process. The minimum deposit by card is £20, and if depositing under £70 there’s a 2% transaction charge. All the major credit cards are offered, as is bank transfer, however it would be good to see an increased range of eWallets provided as big names like Paypal and Ukash are missing.
Customer service is open via live-chat from 8am to midnight and seemed efficient when I tested them.
On the site proper navigation was very straightforward with a wide range of sports displayed along the left hand side, including some diverse options for you to have a punt on such as futsal, martial arts, volleyball and motorcycling. I really couldn’t fault their range of sports, and they are only behind Bwin and Sportingbet in terms of diversity (and ahead of nearly all the other major sportsbooks).
Their focus is more on sports betting, and reflecting European betting tastes their options for racing are a little limited.
They don’t have any ante post markets for big events in the horse racing calendar, or likewise for greyhound racing. As they further roll out their presence in the UK market this will surely change. But in the meantime you’ll still enjoy a great range of betting markets when you join Betclic.
The range of markets for the big sports such as football is very comprehensive. Even for obscure matches a dozen pre match markets were there for you to punt on. For larger profile leagues the range of pre-play and in-play markets increases exponentially.
Their prices offer solid value and a typical match odds had an over-round of 109% for home-away-draw markets which compares favourably with other fixed odds sportsbooks.
I’m a fan of the “Betclic 14″ football pool betting product. If you can call the result of 14 games you take the entire pool, when I checked it was a mouth-watering £86,000!
As well as the range of sporting options I found that Betclic’s other strength was its sheer ease of use, all the upcoming events are helpfully displayed on the colourful homepage.
Another feature I really like is the sporting calendar that linked to all the major events that are in the near horizon this way you won’t miss out on great betting possibilities. On that note, Betclic have just rolled out their new smartphone app so you can take your punts with you on the go.
So why not have a play around this strong European bookmaker.

Used them for the free bet, didn't find much to keep me after had lost the money. Not many sports, and not many markets for some of them. The betting slip was easy to use. Not bad, not good. why have pictures of a retired footballer on it?
