On Friday 13th it was announced that Victor Chandler is now rebranded as BetVictor.
The company grew from a family bookmaker to a Gibraltar based iGaming giant. Victor Chandler propelled the company into the big time by being the first operator to recognise the tax advantages of being based from the British territory based at the Southern tip of Spain.… Read More…

Well, TGI Friday! With the Olympics just round the corner thought as a bit of light relief away from the stresses of winning and losing money betting would post this video. It is of former Olympian (and now Times Journo) Matt Syed who is returning shots from the 2nd row!
Tomorrow we’ll make some dough!
Will hopefully be getting some time in tonight to go through the form of for tomorrow’s racing.… Read More…

Yesterday, former Essex county cricket player, Mervyn Westfield, admitted to spot fixing in a county match back in 2009.
Westfield has confessed to accepting £6,000 in return for conceding 12 runs in his first over, however only ten were scored. The match between Essex and Durham took place on September 9th, 2009.
The Old Bailey heard Westfield’s confession, but Judge Anthony Morris was quick to point that the person who offered Westfield money was well-known in the cricket world.… Read More…

Been playing around on Bet365 recently. I try to never profess any expertise about things I don’t really understand (most of everything in life to be honest), and freely admit to not being a football expert.

So that was an eventful Saturday’s racing, I throughly enjoyed C4′s Racing show.
Francome was laconic, Alistair Down introduced the viewers top three Chasers of all time and Tommo was relegated to commentary duty at the away meeting!

Will Hill’s high street estate is comprised of glass fronted brightly tiled shops, but venture down a side street and the shops remain unchanged from the 1980′s. I took these pictures of the upper Caledonian Road shop.… Read More…

IG Index takes a bit of a hitting, despite turnover increase.
Turnover is vanity, profit is sanity and cash-flow is king!
IG Group Holding Ltd, who own the IG Index Spread betting company posted a loss of £25 million despite an increase in turnover by 7.3 percent. Their trade has been buoyed by a healthy 23pc t/o increase in Europe, but dragged down by regulatory charges in the Japanese market, and a general lack of market volatility.… Read More…
For such a great sport there are a few good films about racing, but perhaps not as many as there should be. I guess boxing is the sporting medium that Hollywood loves best.
If you are looking for a good film on racing, and are a bit of a jumps-head like me, then really recommend you check out Champions, it stars John Hurt and chronicles the true story of the jockey’s recovery from cancer to pilot the injury stricken Aldaniti to victory in the 1983 Grand National.… Read More…
