ID’d when making my darts accumulator for PLD

I have decided to bet on Whitlock, Taylor, Anderson and Painter for tonight

Yes, I was ID’d at the age of 24 in a Bookies

So, I walked into William Hill, not my regular bookies but it was lucky to be a few shops down from my gym. As I had my notes out and I was checking the prices before I put my bets on an eery voice called out, “Have you got some ID son?” I had not been ID’d in a bookies since 17 to be honest with you.… Read More…

It doesn’t get any CLOSER than this: PLD

Phil Taylor is now a 17/25 Favourite to win the PLD

If you look down the Premier League of Darts you will notice that only four points differentiates the bottom from a place in the play-offs. It can only get better my friends.

What we do definitely know is that the ‘Power’ has been classy all the way while describing Adrian Lewis’ performances as disappointing is an under statement. The top two players in the world both sit at the opposite ends of the table.… Read More…

You can Tell A LOT by a Man’s Entrance: PLD Night 6

Painter is definitely my pick of the week for an upset after seeing him consistently performing well in the PLD

I have consistently been amazed by the excitement of Phil Taylor’s entrance to every Premier League Dart’s match so far. I have seen a sportsman so cool, excited and so confident than this man recently. Just take a look.

So it is no wonder he sits as the clear favourite to win this event (Odds sit at 3/5, 4/6). He has regained his form, his confidence and his hunger to succeed.… Read More…

League’s Top Two Tussle Thursday in PLD

Phil Taylor seems to be like a fine wine after he shrugged off his critics by averaging over 117

Thursday brings yet another masterclass in darts but this week we are fully treated to a clash of the greats. World No. 1 Phil Taylor takes on last year’s PLD champion Gary Anderson.

‘JACKPOT’- Adrian Lewis Outsider for Match-Up Thursday

Adrian Lewis and Gary Anderson are priced at 9/2 to Draw this Thursday

The bookmakers have done something very interesting for the late match of the Premier League Darts this Thursday. Gary Anderson will meet Adrian Lewis with Anderson the favourite; strange move.

The World No. 2 has drawn all three of his matches so far. Impressive performances against Taylor and van Barneveld were over shadowed by a scrap last week against Hamilton.… Read More…

Darts make Thursdays the new Friday!

Phil Taylor showed great class to hit a 9-darter and recover against Painter last week.

I never understood when someone told me a few years ago that, ‘Thursdays are the new Fridays,’ until now. The Premier League of Darts has just been truly incredible.

Week 3 sees a repeat of the World Championship Final while the tournament Favourite gets another crack at an old foe who is rolling back the years.

Taylor remains odds on at 11/8 to Win it All

Another Upset for ‘The Hammer’ this Thurs?

Taylor and Lewis truly delivered in an exciting match-up last Thursday that finished in a 7-7 draw.

After an amazing first round of matches from the Premier League last Thursday where two matches ended in a draw and the two lowest ranked players managed to win, all is to play for this Thursday.

Review of Round I

After watching Barneveld, Whitlock, Taylor and Lewis each give incredible performances leaving darts fans dribbling ecstatic, it is the performance by Kevin Painter and Andy Hamilton thay shocked us all.… Read More…

PDC Darts: Alexandra Palace’s Offending Vents?

Semi Final Delay of PDC Darts World Championship

Back to Ally Pally, but not for Darts

Enjoyed a superb day at Alexandra Palace on Tuesday, where I saw John Higgins make short work of an out of sorts (and possibly in decline) Matthew Stevens followed by Neil Robertson playing some flawless snooker to rattle off four frames in a row in defeating Mark Allen.

As blogged about already in my Ally Pally Snooker blog it’s a really well chosen location to host London’s premier snooker event.… Read More…
